About Geraldton Support
Guiding growth, independence, and enriched communication for people of all abilities across Geraldton.
About Geraldton Support
Hi, I’m Chris Henderson, founder of Geraldton Support. I’m an independent NDIS support worker based in Geraldton, helping people build everyday skills, confidence, and independence through creative, practical support.

Meet Chris Henderson
I bring a broad range of experience to my work, built through years of hands-on learning and a genuine curiosity for how people grow and connect. My background includes IT and network support, indie game development, hospitality as a classically trained chef, and special needs education assistance. I also studied horse management, husbandry, and animal behaviour in Scotland, and have been working with and training horses for most of my life. Each of these experiences has shaped how I support others — with patience, adaptability, and creativity.
My journey into disability support began early through Riding for the Disabled, where I saw how much confidence and joy people can gain with the right encouragement. That experience taught me that everyone has their own strengths — their own “superpowers” — waiting to be recognised and built upon.
I’ve also seen disability from a family perspective, helping to raise a step-daughter with Down syndrome and Level 3 Autism. That experience gave me a deep appreciation for the everyday realities families face, as well as the importance of communication and trust in support work.
At Geraldton Support, I aim to make every interaction meaningful. My mission is simple:
To provide affordable, reliable, and person-centred support that helps people build confidence and independence in their own unique way.
I don’t believe support should be out of reach. I keep my services fair and accessible, and I’m fully insured and compliant with NDIS quality and safety standards. I’m also continually updating my training and documentation to stay current and accountable.
If you’re looking for an independent NDIS support worker in Geraldton who listens, adapts, and brings creativity, empathy, and real-world experience to every session, Geraldton Support is here to help you or your family member build skills, find joy, and take the next steps toward greater independence.
